yep ive only had one office job ever and it was hell. meetings meetings and more meetings all day. i wonder how anyhing ever got done. if you caused a fuss (like speaking up or against the alpha male who was the only one allowed to speak) theyd say "lets have a meeting", at the end of it they could say "lets have a meeting" again. it was hell. me and a musician chick created revolution there cause wed sit in a different room and actually achieve something. but we both got sacked because of it.
ive heard engineering jobs are even worse. if you actually try to improve the code (all websites and programs nowadays are shockfull of bloatware) theyd just look at you weird and tell you not to, again, cause a fuss.
and the cpu and ram evolution has completely stopped in its tracks since 2013. they cant make the computing power better than 2^32 since the transistors are almost as small as atoms. and they havent increased the amount of ram in computers since then as well, its rather gone down. and storage mediums are tiny nowadays. i bought a laptop for 6000 sek ½ year ago (~600$) and its only got a 70gb ssd, of which windows takes up more than half (the comp i bought back then had a 450gb hdd). i get it though they all want to spy on you so youll just upload everything into the cloud, and to work against piracy.
