ableton is substandard unless you output in 32bit float. all analog technology is floating point, so any digital recording no matter what will sound worse. thats the true "warmth". release it on dvd / blu-ray recordable in 394khz 32bit. recommend your listeners to use replaygain and foobar2000. and for most of my records, people only like 1 single song. so having variety of db levels doesnt really matter anymore. yes, with that high sound quality mastering isnt needed. and people have games and software that is like 50gb, why not have albums that way, if its really good and you listen all the time? why should it be 50mb? why collect 10k substandard mp3s, just to brag?
