ive made a lot of my music in audacity. its a pure waveform editor. i started again after making several albums with ableton... i became too predictable. i know you can stack effects like mad in ableton, but a few effects, and you get a completely unique sound in audacity. anyway, i know zero music theory. the only muscle memory (keeping in the beat) i have is for playing drums, which i never do. i did play on some tiny claviature once with 5 keys, and my producer complimented me on how "perfect" in tune? it sounded, i had practiced 1 hour ever on the instrument. i prefer just making unique songs. my earlier ones dont even have a genre, theyre completely unique. not in a weird messy way. i also did heavy sample work... in my apartment. you can sample anything really with a zoom mic for 200$. its so easy. now i do mostly ai music though, but 10% of the songs on the new album are pure audacity. i just improvise in all my art. they even say im a good dancer, i read the womans mind, eventhough ive barely ever done it. its easy that way. for music and photoshops i just try to make it harmonic. although for the music its mostly sotz, completely unlistenable to normie ears. it has no beat, no vocals, no melody. just agony. i learnt that from elektroniskt i p2. its krautrock artrock and punkrock all into one. and always original lyrics, but the vocals dont sound very human after ive done a couple of effects on em.
