btw try to make a record in audacity if you havent. ive made about 20 in it. when i realized my zoom could record in 96khz 24bit i started using free daws i got with my synth and recorder though (but only for effects and single instruments), since to this day it doesnt support above vhs quality. yes, the reverb effect at least sounds horrible even with the default 32bit mode, as it upscales and dowscales several times before arriving at... very metallic. but since its a pure wav editor you can do anything you want in it. its so easy to be creative. when i started with ableton i got sorta predictable. i mean it is possible to be even more divergent in it, but you can also turn sloppy and predictable. in audacity thats impossible, because you need to put in so much effort to make something good. and remembering how you did an effect? i dont. on my newest album i only used it on 1 single track. the only one without ai (but i did use it to rhyme-ify the lyrics). all i did in audacity was noise reduction (its gotten really good, better than most professional ones) reverb and limiter.
