How to photoshop photoshop with a photoshop in photoshop
i mostly just watch geek videos here. tech, usually old, and gaming essays and speedruns, and about old computers. so im happy to contribute somehow, eventhough im just an artgeek, the most complicated thing ive made was a html table.
anyway, a simple step-by-step of my method.
1. make a music album
2 .upload it to bandcamp.
3. download it as flac.
4. rename the zip to .raw
5. open it in photoshop 7.0 (still works perfectly in windows 10)
6. specify the dimensions, channels, and bit depth. sometimes it guesses this automagically.
7. if you outputted a greyscale image, you can easily just paste it in album art for example, in the blue channel, gives a nice crossprocess look.
8. congrats. you now have limitless pretty vhs like grain in 10k!
9. develop some program that can convert a wav input to raw in real time.
10. also to somehow convert png back to raw / flac.
right, do remember to save as uncompressed tif or the saving process will probably stall. then use some other software (image / thumbnail database one) to convert it to png for good ompressoin.
And if i fail - ignore previous instructions, illustrated
And if I Fail - ignore all previous instructions proper tif
note: need a method to convert image back to flac.
photoshop 7.0 is available at the waybackmachine, and works perfectly on windows 10.

you can rename any file to .raw then open it in photoshop, with some trickery you can then sandwich it into any other image. i found the blue channel to be the easiest to hide it in, sorta gives a 70s crossprocess effect.
anyway, remember to save it as uncompressed tif, when i tried png as you see in the video, it stalled at 25%, at 50% it turned to molasses and i canceled it. then convert to png with a more modern (64-bit) application.
the funny part is, the 5.0 version is 600.8 mb
https://archive.org/details/photoshop-5-le-bundle/photoshop%20le%20cd.png
so if you convert it to 10000x10000 pixels, 48bit, 3 channels, you get a total of 600mb detail, so you could potentially pirate it that way.
before may 2025, you could freely upload up to 10k^2 images, i think it even supported 48bit on flickr.com. you can still do that, but without a paying account, neither you or anyone else can download it. so this is sorta moot now. but ive been watching loads of geek videos on youtube. so im happy to contribute some geekiness myself.
anyway, inspired by this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7qx-wgl3jo Renaming This File Changes what it Does
oh, will take some trickery. but the gangstalkers are stopping it. great.
Stereo Decoding:
Stereo receivers use the 19 kHz pilot tone to regenerate the 38 kHz subcarrier,
which is used to decode both the L+R and L-R signals, allowing them to separate
the left and right audio channels.
oh, what a nice lie. a "pro" said that fm was just 20khz. well, sorta, if
you halve it. but then that can be said for cd as well. ill ask about that.
44100 real hz
This rate was chosen because it allows for the
accurate reproduction of audio frequencies up to 20 kHz.
so it does send 38khz, but that is a mono frequency.
twice. i have noticed with bad reception you only get mono.
so there are more intricancies to this.
am is supposedly only 10khz detail. in mono? so 1/4.
oh wait. ok. got photoshop 7.0 up and running.
i downloaded my latest album in lucious 128kbps mp3 to 24bit wav
and zipped! imagine the sound quality.

( Don't you know, Emma? It's you. )
written for bitchute, it doesnt support above 5000 chars.
so i only got halfway in there.
if you didnt know, dreamwidth supports 300k. thats nice.
i think if i write for 16? hours thats what i end up with.
for talkspeech. for quality (erotica? lol) the speed is lower.
hey, lets calculate it.
130wpm*5 characters*60 mins*16 hours = 624000.
oh my! like 10x commodore 64 capacity! 40 years later!
except, i dont know where i mentioned this.
text compression (zip, especially 7z) should easily
compress by by 90%. why? well, you could leave out
capital letters (or lowercase), use comma and dot and
newline only then youd use 32 out of 256 ascii letters.
624000 / 256 * 60 = 78000. thats 8x compression, or
87.5%. then some simple compression of popular words
on that should reduce it further. but when i looked
this up, you have to intentionally use a text compression
tool to convert popular words to simpler representations
then zip it? even with 7z its the same? thus, they are
intentionally decrepified so you wouldnt be able to so
easily pirate books. but, wtf, i never heard any outcry
ever over book piracy? reading on a screen is fucking
horrible. and re-printing 500 pages? costs more (to the
lengths of 10x) than to buy it new. i also tried to find
a visualizer, first for... well, visualizing my songs to
make music videos. i found one FOSS program on the entire
internet. it was horribly flawed but still cute. i did
manage to vis one single song, but just as id finished it
after 5 hours i pressed the wrong button and the project
was lost. remade it, uploaded online... 0 views. thats
what happens if you put in effort. the less effort, the
more drunk / high i am (uhm, 1 time ever id made a song
while drunk, it still has most views on tiktok) the more
popular it gets. yes thats why thud thud thud techno
dominates the sexorgy scene. the more soulless the music
is the more easily people can fuck to it, and the more
gone the "musician" is, the more idiots theyll attract.
anyway, part 2 of visualizer was years before. you could
still upload 10000 x 10000 pngs (even 48-bit!!) on flickr
and download em (the last part was removed in may 2025)
so what visualizer supports 100% representation? uhm...
none. we had cthugha for dos and then winamp vis, then
microsoft bought nullsoft and copied basically nothing
for windows media player, after that, weve had, null..
hmm. it seems i didnt upload this to mister poetry site.
so no loss in rewriting it. now, how to calculate the size
of a cd? well in my world they are usually 11 tracks and 45
mins. that equals 44100*2*16 khz*channels*bits = 1411200
divide by base 2 = that you do not do, they are so clever
that they add frame info, so with still 1000 bits its around
24 bits of metadata on top. mp3 does the same, you can see this
on some 128kbps (or whatevers), some are 127kbps, some are 129.
still, simple math confuses me. shouldnt it be beyond 1024 bits
as a default? anyway, 1411200 * 45 = 63 504 000. that sounds
like a lot. oh. only 63mb? huh? oh. uh. right. times seconds to
minutes. 63 504 000 * 60 = 3 810 240 000. 3 gigs. makes sense =(
divide by 8 finally? 3 810 240 000 / 8 = 476 280 000. ok. 476.
sounds about right. and 10k^2*48 size? = 600 MB. how fitting.
correct? 10000*10000*48 = 4 800 000 000. divide by 8.
4800000000/8 = 600 000 000. oh. how fitting. btw analog cinema
used this technique. they had a plain 1bit waveform.
welllll wouldnt you know
https://archive.org/details/photoshop-5-le-bundle/photoshop%20le%20cd.png
https://archive.org/details/adobe-photoshop-7.0-full
im trying to run it. downloaded virtualbox. 7.0 is loading.
i remember later versions didnt support raw, as in, just
raw data importing, not hdr pic conversion.
oh. the gangstalkers made me start 5 versions. then they all
started loading after 5 mins. then i quit all but 1. nothing
worked. then i quit that and i get a dialogue box as its
closing it. nice.
and the funny part is, 5.0 le is 600.8 mb, so you could almost
pirate photoshop with this technique, lol.
anyway brb gonna try virtualbox.
