What does juice really contain
what does apple / orange juice contain?
½ human / pig pee
½ "freshness substance"
to give you that
fresh fruit experience
also refered to as "flavour packs"
nowadays juice is stored for months in
oxygen deprived tanks which removes flavor
the freshness is artificially recreated
my own scent / taste research
- talcum powder
- perfumes
- bitter substances, that is, shampoo
- soap, the real thing, probably with glycerine, real nutricious
from online sources
- orange juice: limonene, a compound also found in citrus-scented cleaning products and perfumes.
- apple juice: contains ethyl acetate CH₃CO₂CH₂CH₃.
- apple juice: hexyl acetate C₈H₁₆O₂.
- ethyl butyrate. lead and lighter fluid, what could be better? a fruity, pineapple-like flavor.
- Linalool (a floral aroma often found in citrus)
- Octanal (a citrus-like smell)
Oxygen-Deprived Storage and Flavor Loss:
oxygen-deprived environments
(like concentrating juice and
storing it for long periods)
strip the juice of its original flavor.
The longer the juice is processed
and stored, the more flavor is lost due to:
Volatile compounds evaporating
Enzymatic reactions breaking
down the fruit’s natural taste
Oxidation occurring during
storage and transport
Because of these processes,
commercial orange juice
(especially from concentrate)
tends to taste flat, sometimes bland,
and can have a somewhat cooked or stale flavor.
The fiber and many phytonutrients are mostly
lost during concentration and filtration.
heavily augmented by artificial flavors
