40 YEARS DOWN THE DRAIN

I'm starting to get annoyed

on the generations after me

I guess that's what it's like to be middle-aged

some add "high" "stone" "fat" "cool"

to much of what they say

but I remember one time

I told someone I liked

"fuck, youre gorgeus as shit"

and she got all jolly

nowadays it would probably work with

"you make me higher than

the cucumber on my porch"

or "your fat ass is so cool" too

at the right time, to someone else

and it sounds completely wrong to my ears

but my generation or a few before

added "shit" to everything

and it's not much better
