in floating point, only the difference between the present and following sample is stored, so the dynamic range is even larger.

2013: "process effects at 128-bit, work in 64-bit, output in 32-bit"

bouncing a song at ableton live max settings (384khz 32-bit) and playing it back in foobar2000 makes it sound like vinyl. redbook audio is really VHS quality that was standardized in 1978. why 128kbps standard to this day? 2^7.
