as for simulation, the reason the dinosaurs died was because t-rex (hmm, hands perfect for a smartphone) made a spaceship, with which they deployed a dyson sphere around the second sun (aka the moon), with that energy they could emulate an entire universe. some say its a prison planet, which could explain why most people are so stupid. some say its slave labour planet, they need us to get gold for other species, like the reptiles that live underground (and among us).
