The word "toksha" is a Lakota word, which is part of the Sioux language. In Lakota, "toksha" (pronounced tohk-shah) generally means "later," "sometime," or "see you later." It is commonly used in farewells and partings, similar to how "goodbye" or "see you later" is used in English.
In this forest environment, they lived by hunting, fishing, and gathering wild rice.
